The Hospital Association of Rhode Island is a statewide trade organization that assists member hospitals in effectively meeting the health care needs of Rhode Island through advocacy, representation, education and services.

The Hospital Association of Rhode Island (HARI) has recently welcomed CharterCARE Health Partners Chief Executive Officer John J. Holiver, as the newly-elected chair of the HARI Board of Trustees.  

Holiver was named Chief Executive Officer of CharterCARE Health Partners in July 2016, having served previously as interim President of Roger Williams Medical Center.

Disasters Don’t Plan Ahead.You Can. September is National Preparedness Month, a recognition that a disaster can strike at any time, often with little notice. During the past month, four devastating hurricanes hit the United States and its territories - Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Jose and Hurricane Maria. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the annual hurricane outlook has predicted an above-normal season. Forecasters have predicted eleven to 17 named systems will form in the Atlantic Ocean this season.
