President and Chief Operating Officer of Women & Infants Hospital, HARI Board of Trustees

Shannon R. Sullivan was named President & Chief Operating Officer for Women & Infants Hospital in September 2020. Shannon previously served as Vice President of Operations for both Kent Hospital and Care New England after serving in various leadership and clinical roles within Care New England since 2003.

During her tenure at Care New England, Shannon has led several operational initiatives that have resulted in reduced readmissions, decreased length of stay, and increased operational efficiencies. Her passion for improving systems to affect the patient experience of care will help Women & Infants in its mission to provide exceptional patient care and remain financially sound.

Shannon completed her undergraduate work at Providence College, her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College, and her Master’s in Healthcare Leadership and Business from Brown University.
